Accommodation: Open plan living-dining room and kitchen on the ground floor, all recently refurbished.. The kitchen has an electric cooker and gas hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The living area includes a sofabed, increasing the sleeping capacity to 6 if required. Bathroom on the 1st floor with luxury shower. There is also a cellar for storage and an attic not currently used. The house has a TV, DVD player, CD/radio system, telephone and internet access. The house is double-glazed and has gas central heating throughout.

Additional information: St. Jean d’Angély is a picturesque old town on the river Boutonne. The historic centre is beautifully preserved and many old houses date back to the 15th century. Despite being a small town (population approx 9,000), the town has a twice weekly market, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. There are 8 restaurants within easy walking distance of the house, a small supermarket in the centre of town, as well as 2 larger supermarkets on the edges of town. Also within walking distance is the brilliant Atlantys leisure centre – a complex of indoor swimming pools to satisfy both kids and serious swimmers, and a lake for fishing, canoeing and pedaloes. ; ; St Jean has all services, and our house would be of particular interest to house hunters, being a stone's throw from a number of estate agents offices.
